Cookie Policy

Last updated:

This Cookie Policy explains how CodLight uses cookies and similar technologies (collectively, “cookies”) on codlight.com. For broader information about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as language, login state, or analytics consent) between visits.

We also use comparable technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags. References to “cookies” below include all of these.

2. Categories we use

We group cookies into four categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (e.g. remembering your cookie consent choice). These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Aggregated and anonymized.
  • Functional — support the live chat widget and meeting scheduler.
  • Marketing / advertising — we do not currently use any.

Calendly may set additional cookies on its own domain when the booking modal opens. Those cookies are governed by Calendly’s own policies.

4. Managing your preferences

On your first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept all cookies or only the strictly necessary ones. You can change your choice at any time by:

  • Clearing the codlight_consent entry from your browser’s site data — the banner will reappear on the next visit.
  • Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser’s settings. Help pages: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
  • Using browser-level signals such as “Global Privacy Control,” which we treat as an opt-out of analytics cookies for that browser.

Note that disabling strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of the site (notably the consent banner itself).

5. Do Not Track

Our site does not respond to traditional Do Not Track headers because there is no industry standard for what compliance means. We do honour Global Privacy Control as described above.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy as our tooling evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a revised “Last updated” date.
